In Matthew 9:18-26 Jesus raises to life the daughter of a synagogue leader and heals a desperate woman of her hemorrhaging disorder. In these healings we see that Jesus responds to faith by bringing freedom from sickness AND death. We also see in this story Jesus willingness to touch women, an often marginalized group, particularly in that ancient context.
In Chapter 2:1-10, Paul lays out the gospel by saying that Christ has brought us from death to life by his grace. Furthermore, this is the gift of God through faith, not by works! Noel shows us what’s so amazing about grace and how we can get it wrong if we’re not careful.
As part of our study in the book of Ephesians, Noel shows us what Paul means when he commands his audience to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 3 ends with Paul praying one of the most powerful prayers in scripture. In this message, Megan Piepgrass shares about how God has worked in her life over time to move the deep truths of God from her head to her heart.
In this message, Noel shows us how Judas’s shame brought about his self-destruction. We too battle shame, but we have hope in Jesus who sets us free!
In Matthew 22:23-33 Jesus takes on a question about the resurrection from a group of Israel’s religious leaders known as the Sadducees. His answer shows that the life to come will be one of transformed glory for the people of God. By Noel Piepgrass
